I don't have much respect for the faith of the people who feel it can be treathened by a newspaper cartoon. Holocaust is a fact. Still I think it is deeply offensive and discriminatory to stress Jewish deaths in WWII. There were many more innocent victims, many of them died defending Jews in particular and freedom in general. Hitler was supporting Jewish settlements in Palestine as an anti-British move. Well the Arabs were supported by the British and then fell on the wrong side of the US. Roosvelt supported Saudi independence though. So the world is not black and white. We are all people. As a child growing up during the Second World War I was horrified by the Newsreels and stories about the Holocaust. Those pictures have stayed with me all my life.

In recent years I've seen Jews in Israel treating Muslims the same way that the Nazis treated Jews, with the same rationalizations for their treatment of other human beings that the Nazis had.

My opinions and feelings about the Holocaust have changed accordingly. That's a fact.

My opinions and feelings about Christianity have also changed radically in the last few years. Primarily as a result of observing the vicious, hypocritical Bush/Republicans treatment of Muslims and other less fortunate, unprotected people both in our country and in the world. That's also a fact.

Is it true that the Catholics' Christ was a child sodomizer? That's a question, not a fact.

Well I don't know how to start but here goes. Both of these people are wrong, wrong, wrong.

Its a FACT that Hitler and the Nazi party had a planed program, it was called the Final Solution. It called for the complete anihilation of the ALL THE JEWS from Europe.

Its also a fact that a lot of non-jewish people died in the WW2. Why are people are so obsessed with separating out the victims of this evil fascist regime. Why? This was a dark period in world history and all the victims need our prayers and it our duty to never forget this.

The Arab's did for the most part ally themselves with the Nazis in WW2 not the other way around. Yes there where parts of the Middle East that were both British and French colonies but for the most part the Arab leaders suppoted the Nazis and their anti-semetic political stance. Also they thought the Axis powers would win the war and they wanted to be on the winning side.

I grew up in the former British colony of Southern Rhodesia. This is exactly ( only worse ) how the british masters treated the indegenous populations. Of course, they did not have to wear badges, the colour of their skin was the badge ( and crime ).
